Overview
General Applications is headquartered in Oxford, England. The company was established in 2003 by founder Steve Tew, originally to develop the means of keeping a drinks can cooler for longer outside of a refrigerator. Over the past three years, the company has developed and patented its technologies to broaden their potential application to other industry sectors, such as building materials and food packaging.
The company is an innovation and intellectual property company that is working with blue-chip industry and research partners to realise the full potential of the technology within the consumer and manufacturing markets.

Arthur Bullard: Chairman
Arthur is a seasoned marketer and international
board member. He has 30 years of management experience
and has worked in a senior positions in Hong Kong,
Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Paris, Frankfurt and
London. Currently he is Executive Chairman of
Rostima Ltd, a rapidly growing software/consulting
company. He is also a Director of Phene Associates
an airline consulting network and of Performa
PTY.

Mark Simpson: Chief Operating Officer
Mark is a qualified solicitor with a career spanning
over 20 years in private practice, industry and
finance, both in the UK and overseas. He has extensive
experience of working externally and in-house
for corporate clients in a wide variety of sectors.
His track record includes working as a member of the
senior management team of one of the City's most respected principal finance groups, and as general counsel of a highly successful commercial property investment company. Mark has been involved in an advisory
capacity with early round fund raising for several
start up companies, including most recently, General
Applications.

Dan Poulson: Business Development Director
Dan has a fifteen year track record of conceiving and delivering innovative growth in technology, consumer and services businesses. He has developed multi-million pound lines of business from a zero base. Most recently Dan has been responsible for bringing to market an own-label mobile network in the UK for the world's largest retailer, breaking new ground with both the business model and the speed to launch. Previously he conceived and delivered growth through radically new market approaches for technology and services businesses including stem cell storage and automotive test equipment. Dan holds an MBA from London Business School and an MA from Cambridge University. |

Gerald Wingrove: Non Executive Director
Gerald has extensive experience in the energy and utility sectors. He was Finance Director and Chief Executive for Drax Group, owner of Europe’s largest coal fired power station, during its financial restructuring and subsequent preparation for its successful flotation on the London Stock Exchange. Prior to that, he was Finance Director for London Electricity plc during its growth from a regional utility into a major integrated national energy company. At London Electricity he was directly responsible for finance, regulation and corporate development and had board responsibility for the group’s retail and trading businesses. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Steve Tew: Founder
Steve is an engineer, with more than 20 years
experience in engineering and business, he is
the innovator behind GA. His background shows
him to be an energetic businessman and entrepreneur, with the ability to
formulate and implement strategies for technical
development, product/market positioning (including
advertising and e-commerce) and financing .
Steve has run many businesses, from design to
import/export. Steve
studied engineering, cad design, business and
marketing in London & Oxford.

Shareholders
General Applications has approximately 20 shareholders, including RAB Capital, a London-based investment management company (www.rabcapital.com) and private individuals, including the company’s Chairman, Arthur Bullard and non-executive director, Gerald Wingrove.

Doing Business
The company’s intellectual property is protected by UK and international patents and its R&D programme is focusing on developing premium material products and applications that have a high added brand value.
General Applications sells rights under licence to its patented technology in return for a payment of a technology access fee leading to a royalty. At all times, we seek a co-operative approach with brand owners and companies and so we are willing to participate and support a company’s own research and development and market testing to ensure that the potential of our technology is maximised.
