Since its establishment in 2003, General Applications has chosen to work with established and experienced industrial and research partners to take forward the research and development of its technology.

Industrial partners are:

Dupont Teijin Films (www.dupontteijinfilms.com), the international chemical and healthcare company.  Dupont provides General Applications with access to materials scientists and advanced production facilities.

Cabot Corporation (www.cabot-corp.com), a global speciality chemicals and materials company that manufactures aerogel, which is one of the key materials used in General Application’s production of nanospheres™.

Research partners are:

National Physical Laboratory (www.npl.co.uk).  NPL is the UK’s national standards laboratory and internationally respected centre of excellence for R&D in the field of material science and measurement.  General Applications is working with NPL in a Joint Industry Project part-funded by the UK DTI.

PERA (www.pera.com).  PERA is an international network of technology development and industry support centres that help firms develop innovative new products.  Working with PERA, General Applications has tested and produced samples of its materials to determine their effective properties.

Ansys (www.ansys.com). Ansys designs, develops, markets and supports engineering simulation solutions to help predict how product designs will behave in manufacturing and real-world environments.  Ansys is providing General Applications with the necessary modelling programme applications, an important component of our R&D and performance testing.
